This website has been in existence since 25th July 1999. It is an Alumni site for graduates of the Commercial Computing and Commercial Software Development Courses at Waterford Institute of Technology, from the 1995 stream of students. It is probably the
most extensive Alumni website for one particular group of students available in Ireland, possibly the internet. There also content available for second level students who may be interested in doing the Commercial Computing course, as-well as internet and technology related content, an extensive and very popular humour section, an extensive links section and quality search engine, top downloads and much much more. If you are looking for anything in particular why not use our site search-engines or our easy to navigate links page. This site is maintained by one person, Shane McDonald, but the content is submitted from all Commercial Computing / Software Development graduates, which is then posted on the website.

What's on this site Initially this site was a point of presence on the internet where graduates of this WIT Course could keep in touch having left college between 1997 and 1999. It has proved to be a very popular site, receiving over 375,000 hits in the last 6 months of 2000 and reached over 20 million hits in September 2004. At present the average number of hits on the site is around 9,000,000 with an average of 370,000 visitors and 800,000 page views per month. It all started on the 25th of July 1999 when one page containing 6 e-mail addresses was posted on Eircom.net, which was at the time TiNET. Since then the website has seen many changes including its mirroring on www.shanemcdonald.com, and has been extended and improved to include much more and more varied content. The site was redesigned in June 2001, November 2001, June 2002 and most recently July 2004, and now consists of over 350 pages.
